About the Artist - Lindsey Goff
I'm originally from England, but having lived in Australia since 1988, most of my artwork takes inspiration from the Australian flora and fauna and I have always had a fascination for the designs and patterns which can be found in nature.
Having trained in England, as a Teacher of Hearing Impaired Children, I worked for a number of years in education, while enjoying botanical painting as a hobby and continuing to develop my artistic skills.
From 2002-2004 I attended Newcastle University, (Australia), where I successfully completed a Bachelor of Visual Communication Degree - Honours in Wildlife Illustration. This eventually led to my interest in printmaking and the development of my range of prints and cards of Australian flora and fauna.
In conjunction with my career as a teacher I have exhibited my artwork in and around the Sydney area since 1992.
I have also been displaying and selling my artworks and stationery at markets in many parts of New South Wales, since 2010. Currently I regularly attend the Handmade in the Hunter Market, near Pokolbin, NSW.
I am a member of the Botanical Art Society of Australia, and the Newcastle Printmakers Workshop.
Some of the exhibitions I have been involved in are:
